A new knowledge strategy with the K as Kultural factor

Since 2020 we have been redefining ALCk brand from strategy to visual identity, creating a strong and personal voice and collaborating closely to make the complexity of social challenges understandable through design.

The generation of ALC’s identity derives from the geometry of the letters A L C as triangle, square and circle, combined to form a hexagon representing the K-Factor or Kultura in the Basque language. K is the essence of the ALC’s unique and valuable approach to transforming socio-economic systems from a cultural perspective toward sustainable human development.

Agirre Lehendakaria Center (ALCk) is a Basque Social Innovation Center established in 2013 by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in partnership with AC4–Columbia University in New York. They foster community transformation processes through open Social Innovation Platforms based on culture as a driver of change.

They are working collaboratively with UNDP to support and scale Social Innovation Platforms in countries and regions across the globe to help develop people-centric integrated solutions for the SDGs that UNDP Strategic Plan 2022-2025 calls for.
